About us
We are Learning & Educational Child Development Center located in Homestead PA. We provide a high-quality learning environment. We are a Keystone Star level 4 facility, holding ourselves to the highest standards of excellence. Our goal is to lay the foundation of learning for future generations. Our educators are professional they enjoy creating fun and engaging routines for the children in our program. We provide a well rounded curriculum based learning program which encourages a love for learning at each stage of development. We also assess progress and set goals for each child monitoring overall development, setting the tone for academic success.
What we offer...
We accept children six weeks to twelve years old, providing before and after school care for school aged children. We also provide nutritious meals and snacks daily in accordance with the PA Food Program. We offer families a warm and welcoming environment with daily communication and updates.
We have a clean facility maintained and professionally cleaned daily. We have an engaging learning program with developmentally appropriate lessons. Our learning activities are curriculum based; all lessons are planned in alignment with the PA Early Learning Standards.
We offer a fun summer program filled with hands on learning activities including child centered art and crafts and fieldtrips. We host many center events during the year, including our family picnic.
We are an active center. we have many center events throughout the year, keeping our families engaged while creating bonds and promoting a strong connection to home. We truly believe parent involvement is important to overall development which is why we have an open-door policy. We also have many parents volunteer opportunities for our trips & special events and for parents looking to be more involved we have a parent board.

Our Education Program
We put our children first everything we do here at L&E is to promote learning and growth. Our diverse learning program is primarily focused on early learning domains which include cognition, physical development and social and emotional development. We use methods and tools to assess, observe to developmentally screen the children. We do this to ensure that each child is meeting their learning goals for their age and development. We have an open door for parents' questions or concerns about their child. We respect our families religious and cultural beliefs. We offer many chances throughout the year for parent and educators to discuss the development of the children. We accommodate children with active IEP & IFSP including outside supports and specialist to help the children excel. We provide daily communication and photo updates. We have a well-rounded program with a focus on early literacy. We promote reading center wide while encouraging families to read at home. We offer a fun summer program filled with many field trips and special events. The end of each summer we host a Pre-K Graduation ceremony for center children headed to kindergarten.
